Sustainable gold

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) is financially backing the development of a renewable microgrid at WA’s Agnew Gold Mine.

This is part of an increasing effort to build a business case for renewable energy in mining, and has the potential to reduce fuel consumption at these sites considerably.
