David set up Freshwater Group in 2015 as a recruitment business to deliver better outcomes for all customers. He takes climate change mitigation seriously and believes his personal impact can be magnified by enabling companies in the energy transition to be more successful through hiring the best available people.
He structured Freshwater Group deliberately to provide a consistent best practice, professional recruitment service to all customers. He has extensive recruitment experience from the UK, Europe and Australia. Between 2007 and 2012 he headed up the Energy & Industrial Search Practice for Talent2 Executive’s European business. Before that, he managed the London Commerce & Industry HR team for TMP Worldwide (later Hudson) and set up the Executive Recruitment Division of the UK’s leading travel industry recruitment business AA Appointments.
Earlier in his career, David worked in the travel and food industries, having graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) in Food Technology from the University of Queensland.
