They are looking to hire a Senior Civil Designer to work in the project engineering team managing civil designs across the whole project lifecycle. This will include:

  • Assisting in the project development phase by reviewing site information and providing preliminary civil advice.
  • Undertaking civil analysis including topographical, earthworks, positional coordinate and surface manipulation and adjustment.
  • Producing civil documentation, drawings and plans, and calculations.
  • Providing construction support by responding to RFIs and submittals.
  • Coordinating with the global Project Engineering team in other regions to create and update civil standards, specifications, templates, and design tools.
  • Managing, scheduling and reviewing civil engineering calculations prepared by third party engineering consultants.

 

Requirements include:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering with substantial experience in civil engineering, preferably in renewable energy (solar or wind farms) or other infrastructure (eg: road, rail)
  • Expertise with AutoDesk Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in topographical and civil calculations including earthworks analysis and topographical surface and coordinate point manipulation.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian regulations and standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning, process, and project management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to technical excellence and long-term success.
  • Coding experience related to civil analysis tools, specifically Python, is advantageous.
  • Experience with mapping/GIS tools, geotechnical investigation requirements and an understanding of structural foundation design concepts are all advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and ability to travel internationally.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residence.
