A well-established renewable energy consultancy with a strong track record in Australia and across the Pacific is looking to hire a Senior Design Engineer to be the subject matter expert on designing MV systems, HV and grid connection assets for, mainly solar and BESS projects. This will include signing off on detailed electrical design reports for those assets.

Requirements
- A Degree, with a Masters preferred, in electrical engineering and ideally CPEng (but gaining that will be supported).
- Experience in PV array and BESS design and use of PVSyst is useful but more important are the following:
- Cable, transformer, switchgear, and protection specification and sizing, for DC, LV AC, and MV AC applications.
- Earthing grid design.
- Elek Cable HV, PowerFactory (protection module), XGSLab.
- Substation design to AS2067.
- SCADA and Auxiliary system design.
- Experience developing commissioning plans and test records.
- Overhead cable design for MV AC applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong report writing, skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the patience and empathy required to be a mentor.
- Permanent resident or Australian Citizen.
