A Control Systems Engineer opportunity exists in an energy control systems business for the energy sector. They are a well-established and recognised leader in their field, known for their high standards of delivery. The business has been successfully growing, with not only more projects but an increased number of larger, more complex projects.
The Control Systems Engineer will be involved in the proposal, execution, documentation, technical delivery, design completion, and commissioning of control systems for specific projects across a range of power technologies, such as hydro turbines, gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, diesel engines, gas engines & power distribution.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of complete projects to agreed schedule, budget, and engineering standards.
- Provide technical input, support, and review during proposal phase of a project.
- Collaborate with local and regional engineering team for cross-pollination and shared knowledge.
- Take the engineering lead during a project with:
o System & software design
o Control wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings
o System integration & testing
o FATs
o Installation and commissioning lead with on-site support and SATs.
Requirements
- A Degree in Engineering
- Experience with:
o SCADA and PLC products.
o LNG, power generation, process industries, particularly rotating equipment such as turbines.
o AutoCAD Electrical
- Proficient in problem analysis, identification, and resolution.
- Experience in identifying, managing, and mitigating technical project risks.
- Ability to learn and apply new technology and products.
- Ability to perform under budget and time constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and flexible attitude.
- Permanent residency or Australian Citizenship.
