An exciting opportunity exists for a Control Systems Engineer with battery and hybrid energy system expertise. The company is a vertically integrated provider of energy control solutions experiencing a strong period of growth.
The Hybrid Energy Control Systems Application Engineer will be responsible for designing protection, control and management systems for specific projects across the range of technologies supported by the renewable solutions division – solar, energy storage and a range of hybrid energy projects (solar, wind, diesel, gas, storage).
They will also provide mentoring to other Engineers and participate in process improvements, strategic planning and presentations.
The Hybrid Energy Control Systems Application Engineer will also provide awareness and understanding of the overall project portfolio, interactions and issues and participate in client negotiation and technical evaluation of new opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences with Masters’ level highly regarded.
- Substantial experience in the design of renewable or hybrid energy control systems with demonstrable expertise in battery management systems.
- Strong knowledge of standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards into designs. Ability to quickly learn, interpret and apply new standards.
- Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment and communicate with customers.
- Effective written and verbal English communication and time management skills.
- Leadership and/or mentoring experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate and internationally as required.
- Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- Sponsorship is an option for the right person.
