A Product and Technical Support Manager – Energy Storage opportunity exists for a leading, global, tier 1 solar technology manufacturer.
The Product and Technical Support Manager – Energy Storage will be responsible for leading the product management and technical customer support team, and responsible for delivering product training to solar installers on new products and releases.
Responsibilities
- Leadership of Product Management and Technical Customer Support team.
- Delivering product training to solar installers on new products and releases
- Ensure regular training is provided to the service team members to ensure optimal and up to date knowledge on areas such as new firmware fixes.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff members.
- Work closely with the Distributed Energy division on software issues.
- Managing communication with HQ for technical development of energy storage hardware and software incorporating feedback and information from the product management and technical customer support teams.
- Product management of PV, particularly the certification of new modules and updating the technical customer support team and communicating with HQ.
- Track warranty claim trends to feedback for technical development at HQ.
- Ensure sufficient RMA (return merchandise authorisation) stock is available at the PTI Centre and with the third-party service provider to ensure faster repair and replacement turnaround time.
Requirements
- An Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy degree
- Product management/support or technical service experience from a solar energy storage or inverter manufacturer
- Strong inverter and battery knowledge
- Experience providing technical product training to staff or customers
- Field based installation or service experience for solar systems and/or energy storage products
- Willingness and ability to travel nation-wide as required
- Excellent people management or team lead/supervisory experience
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The flexibility, resilience, and adaptability to deliver in a growing and changing environment
- Current Australian driver’s license preferred
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
