A Solar PV Engineer is required for a leading, global solar technology business that is driving a growth strategy as well as recently having established a new innovation centre.
The role is based in the new Innovation Centre in Alexandria, Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the company’s customers’ engineering and commercial teams to deliver design aspects for key projects, including system design options, feasibility studies, energy yield and financial performance estimates.
- Respond to technical enquiries from both end-consumers and direct customers (distributors, national retailers and installers).
- Troubleshoot technical issues with installed systems, evaluate and facilitate warranty replacements.
- Help in building the product strategy in Australia for PV modules.
- Prepare products for submission to certified bodies
- Work with different test labs on local testing
- Prepare training materials on the company’s technology and products.
Requirements
- An Engineering or Electrical qualification.
- Previous experience providing technical service for solar energy storage systems and/or solar inverters, preferably from a manufacturer.
- Field based service or installation experience is desirable.
- Some proficiency with relevant system monitoring systems and software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and to take responsibility to deliver results.
- Native/Fluent English language skills.
- Permanent resident or Australian Citizen.
