Commercial Solar Project Manager

An Australian renewable energy and energy efficiency service provider is looking for a Commercial Solar – Project Manager to successful deliver commercial and industrial solar and BESS projects within Australia. This role will manage the customer interface from point of sale through project delivery to point of customer handover, working closely with the project engineers and sales team to create profitability for the business.
Responsibilities
• Efficiently utilize and manage all project resources, including team members, contractors and budgets whilst ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee their execution.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, relevant codes, industry standards and regulations, and best practices.
• Lead the project team, providing guidance, direction, and support to successfully deliver projects, including tracking project performance using predefined metrics and KPIs.
• Conduct reviews after project completion to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure that company management tools are being used, kept up to date, documentation management and version control are adhered to.
Requirements
• Proven experience in project management or project engineering within the solar, and preferable energy storage, industry.
• Experience in managing project budgets and resources effectively.
• Experience working for a major industrial and commercial rooftop solar installation provider.
• Demonstrated commitment to a culture of health and safety.
• Working at Heights qualifications preferred.
• Knowledge of national and state regulations and guidelines in Electrical and PV industry.
• Permanent resident or Australian Citizen.
• Valid Australian Drivers licence.
