This global energy research and consulting firm is looking to extend their Asia Pacific consulting business to have local presence to enable further growth in the Australian market. The Principal Consultant will establish that local Australian consulting presence and then build further upon that. During the transition period, they will liaise with global consulting teams in Singapore, Europe, UK and the US to execute projects sold in Australia.
Key responsibilities:
- To proactively develop commercial leads and close consulting projects in Australia.
- Lead and deliver consulting projects to customers that deliver clear value, utilizing the global consulting teams, particularly in Singapore.
- Build on your existing professional network and maintain a high-level of current and up-to-date industry knowledge.
- Manage customer relationships for targeted key customer accounts.
- Grow the local business by recruiting and developing the consulting organization so that it can gradually take over the responsibility for executing local consulting projects.
- As the team grows, mentor and support the professional development of other Consultants and manage and track utilisation for self and other consultants.
- Manage and track customer satisfaction with project delivery.
- Engage in 360 reviews of colleagues and peers.
Requirements include:
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a renowned educational institution.
- Well establish experience within, and knowledge of, the energy industry with an established network in Australia.
- A strong commercial mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal with fluency in English.
- Stellar professional track record and achievements.
- The willingness and ability to travel across the Asia-Pacific region as required.
