Utilities Account Executive – Energy Data SaaS

A Utilities Account Executive is required to join a European SaaS company that provides advanced data analytics through automation and artificial intelligence to energy retail companies. Their specialised solution uses historical market data, customer behaviour patterns and real-time information to provide their customers with intelligent pricing models and strategies.

The Utilities Account Executive will develop and implement an effective sales strategy to meet the company’s goals and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth with a focus on both financial gain and customer satisfaction. This role will be looking after the Australian and New Zealand market with a close eye on the SE Asian market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse the market and detect the right opportunities and leads with a clear client segmentation.
  • Approach new markets and clients, as well as using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Open doors and develop long term, trusted relationships.
  • Analyse client needs and work with the Solution Engineer to tailor the product and application to meet client requirements.
  • Maintain long-term trusted relationships with clients by responding to their queries in a timely manner.
  • Deliver sales targets for the region.

 Requirements include:

  • A demonstrable track record of enterprise software/SaaS sales within the utility market.
  • A well-developed network within, and knowledge of, the utilities market.
  • A strong commercial orientation that combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
  • The ability to sell complex software solutions involving both internal and external stakeholders, generally as part of a wider digital transformation.
  • The adaptability and love of ambiguity to thrive in a start-up environment.
  • An Australian citizen or permanent resident
