International Management Consultant

An International Management Consultant is required for a leading, global solar technology business that is driving a growth strategy as well as introducing a range of new technologies to the market.

The position will support and advise on all aspects of the company’s business operation system, structure, contract polices, procedures, methods and workflows as well as any issues relating to compliance, regulations, standards, efficiency in the local and global sola electricity retail and wholesale industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist and encourage the development of objectives, strategies and plans and develop, implement and maintain compliance policies, processes, procedures and risk management strategies aimed at achieving business targets, promoting operation efficiency and reducing costs while ensuring the Company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulation.

• Conduct general compliance and advisory review of all aspects of the new Energy Retail business such as development, management and implementation of governance policies, protocols, work methods and business structures/support of continued growth of the business/ assistance on reviewing and continuous updates to procedures and workflow models/ ensuring all work ethics, legal and compliance activities proactively communicated, implemented and actioned on.

• Identify emerging risks, including legal ones, and compliance issues and proactively advise management on their implications and possible consequences.

• Produce and submit reports to management after performing analysis and evaluation of the current business operating system and structure of the company on a regular base.

• Observe and review the overall operating system of the company and discuss it with other staff members and manager to work out better business solutions to any problems to be identified.

• Implement analysis of workflows and responsibility allocation within the company and between the company and the European and Asian counterparts.

• Record and evaluate the company’s workflow structures, reports, manuals, policies and job description.

• Prepare recommendations to management to improve operation policies, methods, procedures, protocols, manuals and the like.

• Assist management in every aspect of implementing and undertaking any reformative actions, plans, proposals and recommendations, to achieve best possible outcome for the company.

• Prepare strategies, directions and checklists for the company’s handling, negotiating, drafting and reviewing of various legally binding instruments such as confidentiality, non-disclosure, partnership & funding contracts, leases, and agreements with outsourcing suppliers like Billing/CRM Service provider, BNPL financing supplier.

• Organise provision of expert external legal advice as required for specialist areas such as consumer law, electricity retail regulation.

• Manage and advise on a range of issues including negotiations with customers, trends in retail electricity market, changes in the industry standards and risk profiles, pricing strategies, exchange rate, other financial implications for the company.

Requirements

• At least degree or higher academic qualification in legal or business discipline.

• Significant professional corporate advisory experience in the construction, transportation or renewable energy industry.

• Good knowledge and high calibre speciality in risk analysis, system evaluation, business solutions and managing transactional matters relating to contract, employment, finance, tax, regulation, ethics, privacy and the like in the international and global corporate business setting.
