Head of Digital

A Head of Digital is required for an Australian technology business that is developing cutting-edge solutions that streamline and drastically reduce the cost of deploying large scale solar energy through prefabrication and automation. They are a Work180 Endorsed Employer.

The Head of Digital will be the innovator and architect to scope and oversee the development and implementation of the necessary systems to create the digital platform using the existing ERP as a starting point for future development although a technology agnostic approach is expected.

They will also:

  • Advise executive team on a range of potential solutions making recommendations.
  • Produce detailed component specifications and translate these into detailed designs for implementation.
  • Be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Ensure that, once implemented, the platform is maintained and there is seamless connectivity between all company systems and it is continuously improved in line with changing requirements within a growing company.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering or computer science.
  • A Master’s degree in Systems Architecture or a Masters’ of Business Administration (MBA) with a technology focus would be highly regarded.
  • Experience with ERP architecture and implementation.
  • Experience as solution architect, business analyst and project manager.
  • Experience with marketplace-based applications and integrations.
  • Proficiency in software engineering.
  • IT infrastructure and cloud development experience.
  • Deep analytical problem-solving skills with good critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage work volume and competing priorities, with high work ethics and standards.
  • Project and resource management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • A team player with the discipline and self-motivation to enjoy working autonomously and enthusiasm to “work in the trenches” to achieve outcomes.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
