Commercial Analyst
FWG53003
Sydney, NSW

A pioneering scale-up with a patented zero-carbon thermal solution for industrial heat is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join forces with the Chief Operating Officer. This is a chance to make a tangible impact on the energy transition while working with smart, motivated people who care deeply about innovation and sustainability.

Their automated system integrates seamlessly with existing fossil-fuel boilers to help manufacturers decarbonise step by step. It can draw power from renewable energy, the grid, or both, converting that energy into stored heat ready to deliver carbon-free steam whenever it’s needed.

With three commercial projects already in operation or under construction and a new funding round about to launch, the company is poised for rapid expansion. Its breakthrough technology leads the field for both performance and cost-effectiveness.

As the Commercial Analyst (or Business Analyst), you’ll play a central role in shaping the company’s growth story; running and refining models, improving systems, and turning data into insights that drive sales growth and decision-making.

You’ll develop and refine commercial and technical pre-sales models, create scenario analysis tools, and interpret customer energy and business needs to help bring clean-heat systems to life. Your work will ensure that every proposal and business case is clear, compelling, and grounded in both technical and financial reality.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or another relevant quantitative field.
• Experience in a business, commercial, or technical analyst role; ideally in energy, manufacturing, or industrial technology.
• Strong modelling skills, with the ability to automate and design smart scenarios.
• A sharp eye for detail and a disciplined approach to maintaining accuracy and version control.
• The confidence to communicate clearly, connecting technical outcomes with meaningful commercial insights.
• A collaborative mindset. You’ll enjoy working with commercial, technical, and executive teams.
• Experience developing financial or technical models for capital projects or technology rollouts.
• Familiarity with energy systems, industrial heat, or renewable-energy economics is a big plus.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
