Commercial Solar Electrician Supervisor – immediate start

A Commercial Solar Electrician (Supervisor) is required for an award-winning solar energy company that is recognized for excellence and their customer first ethos. The Solar Electrician is responsible for the coordination of activities associated with site installations and maintenance, as well as provides pre-sales and post-installation support to internal and external stakeholders.

This role ensures projects are completed on time and on budget, ensuring best-practice quality and high-level customer satisfaction and provides leadership to ensure HSEQ and legal compliance at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out on-site maintenance of solar PV/storage systems, electrical upgrades and other standard commercial and residential electrical work.
  • Conduct pre-sales site inspections with sales teams to assist and ensure accurate technical scoping of projects.
  • Conduct OHS on-site inspections and progress reports during installation stage
  • Monitor and assess quality of solar PV/storage installations carried out by installers and contractors
  • Maintain strong understanding of requirements and best practice relating to solar PV design and installations and implement changes when necessary to ensure installations meet standards.
  • Ensure all VIC commercial projects are completed on time and budget, with all tasks included and executed as per project plan
  • Prepare and/or coordinate preparation of all pre-installation and post-installation documentation for installers and the client

 

They are looking for someone with:

  • An A Grade Electrical License and a driver’s license
  • CEC accreditation
  • Experience of solar system installation or commercial & industrial electrical experience
  • Preferably a White Card and Working at Heights certification
  • Forklift license desirable
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Effective leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to high levels of customer service
