A Senior Electronics Engineer opportunity exists with an Australian, VC backed on-grid hybrid storage company that has a patented storage boost technology. Their product is optimised for Australian conditions and delivers more value for money than any competitor over the lifetime of the unit.
The Senior Electronics Engineer will work closely with the software team to improve and simulate power electronics designs for their in-house inverter, develop custom embedded battery management systems, and develop their new suite of products.
Responsibilities
- Power electronics design, specialising in grid connected solar inverters, battery storage, and battery solar chargers.
- Battery management system design.
- Simulation of power electronics and digital control.
- Testing (verification and validation) of product requirements to demonstrate the design is fit-for-purpose.
- Schematics and PCB layout in Altium.
- Generation of design, test, and manufacturing documentation.
- Maintain regular and clear communication with software engineers to keep the hardware and software development in sync.
Requirements
- Degree, or preferably a Master’s, in Electronics Engineering.
- Demonstrated work experience in a hands-on environment with electronics or electrical components.
- Electronics design experience for power conversion products through the PDLC to manufacture.
- Ability to work safely with 230V without supervision. E.g., probing, debugging, adjusting power supplies, etc.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Excellent fault-finding skills.
- Permanent resident or Australian Citizen.
