Project Development Manager

A Project Development Manager is required for a highly regarded global renewable energy project development company.

The Project Development Manager will be responsible for managing project development activities for specific development projects from greenfield development through to approved projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the full scope of development on key wind and solar energy projects.
  • Preparation and management of project development schedules and budgets.
  • Support GIS data management including basic spatial analysis and mapping.
  • Managing external consultants and in-house personnel to deliver development tasks.
  • Delivery of key project development milestones in accordance with schedule and budget (for example secured land, DA submission and approval).
  • Regulatory and environmental permitting for Federal, State and Local land use and transmission requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, councils, consulting firms and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain all key project registers (Risk Register, Stakeholder Register, etc) and proactively anticipate and resolve/mitigate issues and risks as they arise.
  • Provide input to reports and presentations as required by Director, QLD Developments including performance against schedule and budget.

 

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in law, engineering, or related science discipline. An MBA and/or other advanced degrees are highly regarded.
  • Project management and development experience of wind energy projects with additional power project experience desirable.
  • Experience with GIS software desirable.
  • Displays high ethical standards with proven ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes in a collaborative style.
  • An ability to think and act strategically with strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable project management skills.
  • Self-starter who can thrive in autonomous settings.
  • Australian driving license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically, including being flexible with working hours to accommodate landowner, community and stakeholder availability and travel requirements.
  • Permanent resident or Australian Citizen.
